Top 10 LabTV Videos of 2017

2017 marked ten years since the Youtube Channel LabTV was founded by Roderick Dyson (Merki Waters) in 2007.

In this time the channel has grown to be the definitive outlet for unsigned urban music in and around the North West of England.

At the end of 2016 we began to see a noticeable increase in regular uploads for the channel as Connor Cuttress (C-Two) started to film and upload content to the channel too.

There has been a lot of quality content posted on there since the Top 10 LabTV Videos of all Time list was written in 2016 and it is finally time to discuss my personal top 10 videos posted on LabTV in 2017.

Jamie Broad – Agent Alias

 

On Wednesday 18^th April Mervyn Lynch (DJ 2Kind – Founder and host of L100 Radio Show) posted to Facebook announcing that someone had sent in a diss to local legend Jamie Broad and asked him to play it on the radio.

It wasn’t long before people started trying to find out who this mysterious rapper was with even the likes of That’s Juvey and Paddy Quin from No Fakin commenting on the status.

Jamie Broad- Swear Words LP 1st Anniversary

Swear Words is the most recent release from Scouse rap veteran Jamie Broad.

This 12 track album turned a year old on the 17^th April 2017 and is generally agreed to be his greatest project to date.

Most well known for tracks like “A Nice Cup of Tea” and “Knock A Door Dash” Jamie has never been one to follow the trends of popular music and it definitely shows here.

Aystar – Don’t Listen & Big Announcement

Aystar has been keeping quiet for some time with his last music video “Behind Bars” being released on Link Up TV on November 8^th 2017.

On the 10^th April 2018 he finally dropped his first track of the year “Don’t Listen” on P110: Music and followed it up with some exciting news.

Beyond Average – Perfecting The Graft EP

Perfecting The Graft EP is the latest release for Scouse rappers Beyond Average.

The group is made up of Jeopardy and Big O who have both released a number of solo tracks but are most well known for their collaborative effort in music.
